In this study the effects of altitude on blood cellular components, biochemical and physiological parameters were tested.
Blood samples were taken from volunteers from Al Mazar Region (1600m above sea level ), and from Ghour Al Safi region (300 meter under sea level). RBCs count in males showed slightly significant increase in high altitude compare to that in the low altitude region.
However, the RBCs count in female showed non significant result. No significant results were found in all other cellular components, physiological and biochemical parameters between Al Mazar and Ghour Al Safi region.
