The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of using web-based curricula on third intermediate students' achievement in English grammar in Tabouk. A pre/post-test of 20 items on English grammar was constructed to measure students' level in English grammar. The test consisted of twenty items on English language grammar.
The sample of the study consisted of 149 third intermediate students; (73) male students and (76) female students from Malik Bin Dinar School for boys and The Twenty One Secondary School for girls which were distributed into four groups (a female experimental group and control group, and a male experimental group of 73 students which was taught using web-based curriculum and control group of 74 students which was taught using the conventional method). in Tabouk during the second semester of the academic year 2010/2011.
Descriptive statistical analyses(Two way ANOVA) were used .
The findings of the study indicated that there were statistically significant differences in the post- test between the control and the experimental groups in favor of the experimental group, and there was no statistically significant difference in the students' achievement due to gender. There was no statistically significant difference due to the interaction between gender and group.
The researcher concluded with recommendations to enhance the effect of using computer based curricula on students' achievement in English grammar such as conducting further studies on other populations and for a longer time
