Abstract

 

Administrative Creativity Level of Schools' Principals in the Qurayat Governorate As perceived by Them

          The purpose of this study was to investigate the administrative creativity level of male and female school principals in the governorate of Qurayat in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as perceived by them and the effect of a number of variables on the conceptions of school principals of their administrative creativity.

          To achieve the objectives of the study, an administrative creativity questionnaire was developed consisting of (45) items distributed on the fifth study aspects. Sample of the study consisted of (170) male and female school principals.

          Results of the study showed that there is a high level of administrative creativity of the subjects of sample in general in the administrative creativity as a whole and in the subsidiary aspects of administrative creativity (ability to solve problems and take decisions, and ability to change and take risk, spread of communication and creativity encouragement degree).

          Results of this study revealed that there are statistical significance differences at (α<= 0.05) in total administrative creativity of male and female school principals in the governorate of Qurayat attributed to experience in administration field and over the following administrative creativity aspects: Problem solving, decision making, risk taking, communication spread and creativity encouragement aspect.

          The study also showed that there are no statistical significance differences between the arithmetic means at the level of (α<= 0.05) of the total administrative creativity and administrative creativity aspects in accordance with the academic qualification and gender variables.

          In light of the study's results, the study was concluded by a number of recommendations, most important of which are the following: Male and female school principals should be given powers to give financial bonuses and facilities for creative employees in an aspiration that they would continue in employment and that it is necessary to subject promotions in the directorates of education to objective foundations based on competency, qualification and achievement.
