تناولت هذه الدراسة تجربة القاص العراقي علي السّباعي القصصية، وتهدف إلى رصد الجوانب الموضوعية، والفنية التي تجسدت في قصصه.
فقد عرضت الدراسة أهم الأبعاد الموضوعية التي عالجها القاص، وهي :- المجتمع، والعلاقات الأسرية، وموقفه من المرأة، والفقر، وكذلك البعد الوطني.
كما عرضت السمات الفنية في قصص علي السّباعي من خلال العناصر التالية: المكان: الأماكن المغلقة، والأماكن المفتوحة، والزمان، وهي من حيث التقنيات الزمنية تشمل: علاقة الترتيب أو النظام، وعلاقة المدة والديمومة، والشخصيات وأنواعها وهي: الشخصية النمطية، والشخصية النامية، والشخصية النموذجية، ثم التناص الذي شمل التناص الديني، والتناص التاريخي، واللغة: وتشمل الحوار وأنواعه، والرمز ودلالته، والمفارقة وأنواعها.
وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى جملة من النتائج الأدبية، من أبرزها: موقف القاص علي السّباعي الإيجابي من المرأة، وعلاقتها بالرجل، والمجتمع، وموقفه الأدبي أيضاً من الدور الذي تقوم به المرأة في الأسرة والمجتمع، والانحياز التام إلى الطبقة الفقيرة المعدومة.

This study addresses the experiment of the Iraqi narrator Ali al-Seba'i in storytelling, and aims at monitoring the objective and the technical aspects that were represented in his stories.
The study introduced the most important objective dimensions the narrator addressed, ; the society, the family relationships, his attitude toward woman, poverty, as well as the patriotic dimension.
The study also introduced the artistic characteristics in the stories of Ali Al-Seba'i via the following elements: place ( closed places and open places) , and time. In terms of the timing techniques including the arrangement relationship or system, and the relationship of duration and permanence, as well as the characters and their types: stereotyping character, developing character, the model character,wntertextua llity that involves the religious, and the historical wntertextua llity as well as the language which includes, dialogue and its types. symbol and its indications, paradox and its types.
The study concluded a number of literary findings. The most notably, the positive attitude of the narrator toward the woman, and her relationship with the society, the man, as well as his literary position toward the role of women in the family and society and the supporting of the poor class in the society.
