Abstract

The impact of the practice of Islamic values in the fight against corruption from the perspective of employees in government agencies in Saudi Arabia

 This study aimed to analyze the impact of the practice of the Islamic values in the fight against corruption from the perspective of employees in  the governmental agencies in Saudi Arabia . the sample of study consisted of (888) employees from the administrative staff in the governmental agencies in the region of Al-Jouf, Saudi Arabia . To achieve the goal of the study a questionnaire to measure the variables of the study was developed and checked for its validity and reliability. The study concluded with a number of results the most important among them were :

1. That the mean of general perceptions of the Islamic values among the respondents was high on honesty, and confidence, and excellence, cooperation, good example and was moderate for was moderate  Justice.

2. That the mean level of general perceptions of administrative corruption among the respondents was low on bribery, embezzlement, forgery, and was moderate on courtesy  .

3. There was  a statistically significant effect at (α ≤ 0.05) for the exercise of dimensions of Islamic values (honesty, confidence, perfection, justice, cooperation, good example) on the administrative dimensions of the fight against corruption (bribery, nepotism, embezzlement, fraud).

4. And statistically significant effect of scientific qualification, experience, age and functional level on the perceptions of respondents towards the practice of Islamic values in government agencies in Saudi Arabia on the respondents' perceptions about corruption in governmental agencies in Saudi Arabia.

  The study suggested a number of recommendations the most important among which were :

1. conducting intensive and continuous training courses to promote Islamic values and the warning from corruption.

2. Improving  salaries of employees, promotions and modifying the system so that the promotion will be based on factors such as deserving it .    

3. Activating the role of controlling, and providing the necessary protection for reporters.
