Abstract
The Impact of Intellectual Capital in the Effectiveness of Management Information Systems in the Municipality Ministry in the State of Kuwait

The study aimed at recognizing the impact of intellectual capital in the effectiveness of management information systems in the Hawalli municipality in the State of Kuwait. A questionnaire was developed to collect data. A sample was chosen randomly using simple random sampling method. The sample consist of (289) employees. The Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS.16) was utilized to analyze the data. The most important findings of this study were the following:
1.The perceptions of employees in the Ministry of Municipalities toward the dimensions of intellectual capital was high.
2. The perceptions of employees in the Ministry of Municipalities toward effectiveness of management information systems was high.
3. There was statistically significant effect (at a≤0.05) of the intellectual capital dimensions on the effectiveness of management information systems, and the intellectual capital dimensions explain (46.9%) of the variation in (effectiveness of management information systems).
The study recommends the need to work on creating an organizational culture that enhance intellectual capital strategies, and improve the strategies to the higher desired levels, through the development of skilled workers and provide a vision of a clear strategy for to the ministry and objectives, because of their impact in enhancing the dimensions of the process of applying information system.
