Comparison Between Certain Cut Scores With Both eble And Bookmark Methods To Examine The Reference Criteria In
Mathematics For Tenth Grade According To The Difference Of The Arbitrator's Category

This study aimed at compare between eble and Bookmark methods for setting cut score for criterion referenced test in mathematics for tenth grade according to the difference of the arbitrator's category (the teacher or the educational supervisor ).
the test in its final form consisted of (30) item mutipl choice with four alternatives, It was applied twice on a pilot sample consisted of ( 39) Tenth graders male and female students (two weeks between the two applications) so as to obtain the indicators of reliability and the validity, the test as person`s coefficient was ( 0.876 ) . The test was applied at the end of the educational year 2009/2010 on the sample of the study that consisted of (423) male and female students who were selected using the categorical random method , (20) teachers and (10) supervisors who were selected using the simple random method .
Results of the study indicated that there were no significant statistical differences (α ≤ 0.05) between the mean of the cut scores for both groups of the study Arbitrators ( a teacher / a supervisor ) for the two methods of eble and Bookmark . The results also indicated that there were significant statistical differences (α ≤ 0.05) between the mean of the certain cut scores with the two methods of eble and Bookman .
For the extent of correspondence of the Two methods in classifying of the students to failure and successful , the Two methods were coincident on the success of (237 ) male and female students and the fail of (140) male and female students , and they were discord on (46 ) male and female students passed with Bookman method and failed with eble method.
