Abstract
The Psychometric Properties of (TEMA3) Scale of the early Mathematical Abilities within the Age (6-8) years in the Jordanian Environment

The study aimed at deducting the psychometric properties of the early mathematical abilities (TEMA3) at the Jordanian environment within the age (6-8) years and (11) months. To achieve the goals of the study, the scale was transited into Arabic, and judged to a group of experts for its fitness to the Jordanian environment.
The scale consisted at (72) items, which divided to subgroups according to each age. To ensure its reliability and validity, the scale applied to an explorative sample insisted at (90) male and female students. The mean sample of study insisted at (756) male and female students who attend the public schools in Jordan during the second semester of the scholastic bear (2007/2008).
The results indicated that the scale enjoyed with good norms. The criterion-related validity to coefficients with Raven scale were (0.5, 0.70, 0.55) for the first, second and third classes respectively.
The discriminat validity coefficients by using One Way Variance Analysis (ANOVA) showed that these coefficients increased by age. The results also indicated that the scale enjoyed with aproperate construct validity through computing difficulty and discriminate factors for its items.
Regarding the scale reliability has using the Cronbach Alpha and Test – Retest procures, the results indicated that the following values (0.91, 0.98, 0.93) for the three class respect by using Cronbah Alpha, and (0.97. 0.98, 0.82) by using Test –Retest procedure. Finally the results indiculed that the scale injoyed with good psychometric properties, to be used at the Jordanian environment. According to the results some recommendations were addressed.
