Abstract
The effect of teaching by concept maps and computerized educational
program on fourth grade achievement at science in Tabuk Region

This study aimed to investigate the effect of teaching by concept maps
and computerized educational program on the achievement of fourth-grade
students on science in Tabuk Region for the scholastic year 2010/2011.
The sample of this study consisted of (75) students selected from Tariq
bin Ziyad elementary School, It was distributed randomly on three groups,
The first group (25) students was taught by using concept maps method, the
second group (25) students was taught by using the method of educational
program computerized, while the third group (25) students was taught by
using the conventional method.
The tools of the study were computerized educational program, reliable
concepts maps, and achievement test consisted of (20) items of multiple
choice test form, The validity and reliability of the test were obtained.
The results of this study showed significant differences at the significance
level (α ≤ 0.05) due to the teaching method, in favor of computerized
educational program, No significant differences were found between the
computerized educational program and conceptual maps method, and no
significant differences between the method of the conceptual maps and
conventional method, finally, several recommendations have been drawn.
