Abstract
The Training Needs of the First Classes Teachers from Their Perspectives and their
Principals in Tabuk Instructional City

The study aims at investigating the first classes teachers’ training needs from their perspectives and principals in Tabuk instructional city.
The sample of the study consisted of (370) male and female teachers and (67) male and female principals in Tabuk.
The sample of the study was selected using the simple random way.
To achieve the purposes of the study, a questionnaire was developed and distributed.
The questionnaire consisted of six domains; planning, syllabus and aids, procedures and techniques, professional development, human relations and classroom management and evaluation.
The findings of the study revealed the following:
1) The training needs for teachers of the first classes were high in all fields of the study from the teachers and school principals’ perspectives.
2) There were statistical significant differences (a ≥ 0.05) in the training needs of the first classes teachers in Tabuk from their perspectives due to gender on all domains (planning , syllabus content, aids, procedures and techniques ) in favor of female teachers .
3) There were statistical significant differences (a ≥ 0.05) in the training needs of the first classes teachers in Tabuk from their perspectives due to gender on all domains (planning , syllabus content , aids, procedures and techniques ) in favor of female principals .
4) There were no statistical significant differences (a ≥ 0.05) in the training needs of the first classes teachers from the perspectives of teachers and male principals in Tabuk due to qualification and experience.
In light of the results of the study, the researcher recommended the following; building training programs for the first classes teachers stemmed from their real training needs.
