Abstract

The Incentives Given To The Teachers Of Primary Grades, Its  Relation to Improve Their Professional Performance in Tabuk Educational Sector From  The Point of View of Principals of Primary Schools

This study aims      disclose the incentives given to the teachers of primary grades and its relation to improve their professional performance in Tabuk educational sector from  the point of view of principals of primary schools. To achieve the goals of the study, a questionnaire was given to a sample of (108) principals during the first semester of the academic year of (2008/2009).

To answer the questions of this questioner, the Means, the arithmetic average, the standard deviations, analysis of variance (2-way ANOVA)and correlation coefficient were utilized.

The study shows that the incentives of the teachers in primary schools is applied highly in Tabuk education sectors this made the performance of the teachers is also high in these area: education product, responsibility and commitment to their career, and the professional competence and classroom management. Their were statistical differences applying Incentives in the significance (α ≤ 0.05) attributed to experience for the benefit of (5-10)years experience. The study also reveals that there were statistical differences attributed to the degree of career performance of primary school teachers for the benefit of female directors in  professional competence and classroom  management. the study shows that their were a positive relation in the  significance (α ≤ 0.05) between incentives and professional performance in the area of professional competence and classroom  management, responsibility and commitment to the career, and the education product.

According to these results, the study recommended a number of recommendations including:  making studies to determine the possibility of resting teaching elementary schools to female teachers instead of male teachers in Saudi society
