The current study aimed at constructing a measure for Saudi attitudes toward university coeducation in the Saudi universities according to Thurston method with equal- appearing intervals. The study attempted to answer the following questions;

1- What are the gradual values for the items of the measure of Saudi attitudes toward university coeducation in light of arbitrators' assessment and equal- appearing intervals? 2- What are the reliability and validity statics for measuring Saudi attitudes toward university coeducation?

3- What is the degree of Saudi attitudes toward university coeducation?

The researcher wrote a 27-item measure covers various aspects of university coeducation, and then it was distributed to a jury of arbitrators and experts to check the item and give their opinions about the adequacy of the items, and then after making the modifications of omitting and adding items, the final version of the measure consisted of 24- item which measure the attitudes toward coeducation in Saudi universities where as the gradual values of the item cover the rrait continuum on Thurstone method of equal- appearing intervals.

The results of the study indicated that there were reliability and validity statics for the measure. And also the obtained statistical data from applying the items on a pilot sample other than the original sample of the study (n=40) showed that the validity value of the measure is 0.87 according to Pearson correlations.

The measure then was applied on the sample of the study which consisted of 710 subjects of Saudi society members.

The arbitrators assessments were corresponded regard the graduation categories that the items belong to which indicates the clarity of items in favorability or un favorability of coeducation in Saudi universities.

The results of the study indicated that the nature of Saudi attitudes toward teaching in coeducational universities were neutral as the mean value is 6.26 out of 11
